LA DIVISIONE INDAGINI DIAGNOSTICHE / The Diagnostic Surveys Division

Attività

La Divisione Indagini Diagnostiche è specializzata nella diagnostica, strutturale e non, applicata alle grandi infrastrutture stradali e ferroviarie, alle costruzioni esistenti in generale, agli edifici storici e monumentali.
La Divisione dispone di apparecchiature sofisticate per l'esecuzione di prove e misure, che consentono un'esaustiva caratterizzazione geometrica, fisica, chimica e meccanica dei materiali e degli elementi costruttivi investigati. Oltre alle tecniche tradizionali, la Divisione sviluppa ed applica anche metodologie di indagine originali ed innovative.
I servizi svolti non si limitano alla mera esecuzione delle prove strumentali ma partono dalla loro pianificazione alla luce dei "sintomi" manifestati dal manufatto indagato, passano attraverso l'elaborazione e l'interpretazione dei risultati anche con l'impiego di complessi modelli numerici, per giungere infine alla formulazione della diagnosi ed alla proposta di eventuali provvedimenti.

Activities

The Diagnostic Surveys Division is specialised in structural and non-structural diagnostics applied to large road and railway infrastructures, existing constructions, historical and listed buildings.
By using sophisticated testing and measurement equipment, an exhaustive characterisation of the geometrical, physicochemical and mechanical parameters of the building materials and structural elements analysed can be achieved. Besides traditional techniques, the Division develops and applies novel investigation methods.
The services performed are not limited to the mere execution of instrumental tests. Instead, they start from planning the tests in consideration of the "symptoms" shown by the investigated construction, followed by processing and interpretation of the results by means, amongst other things, of complex numerical models. Finally, the diagnosis is made and further actions are suggested.
